Chinese movie Baby Day Out 2: Lost in China is a sequel to the original hit movie, and in this adventure ShaoLan and her family cross the border into China. ShaoLan, a small self-confident girl from Taiwan, has been featured in two popular movies about her life so far. The first was when she goes with her mom to work for a day out of Taiwan. ShaoLan was playing with her friend at the park, and suddenly out of nowhere a man jumped out of a car and grabbed her. There was even a police officer close by, but he didn't do anything to help them. The little girl cried uncontrollably for many hours after that incident. The second was when ShaoLan's mom took her on a weekend trip to Sichuan province in mainland China. Thinking that it would be a nice place to visit, ShaoLan wanted to go there so she could see if she could eat the famous foods from China. Her mom decided she would have a better time there than back home in Taiwan because it has great souvenir shops. After going to China with her mom, ShaoLan wanted to go back for a visit. Her mom first talked to the president of the Tourism Association in Taiwan, but he didn't think it would be a good idea for ShaoLan to go there alone, so she called upon ShaoLan's aunt and uncle. They decided they could take care of her and would look after her during their trip there, so she went on another trip with them. During this second trip, ShaoLan found that the people were kind and friendly and everything was just as cool as she remembered it. She got a ball for a gift but didn't know how to say thank you, so she gave the man a tissue instead. Later on she got a pair of sunglasses as a gift from an old lady, but that was broken when ShaoLan accidentally knocked it off the table. She tried to give her several tissues as an apology, but didn't know how to say sorry in Chinese. ShaoLan went out shopping with her cousin and wanted to buy some souvenirs from China as gifts for her family and friends back home. Her cousin bought some paper-cuts for her from Chinatown. ShaoLan really likes this gift and asks her mom if she could have one. Her mom says not to buy them because they are too expensive. ShaoLan also bought a Chinese fan, kite, etc. for her family, but couldn't decide what to give her grandparents - their house or the park where she went on the first day with her mom. One day, ShaoLan's parents were talking about how good it is to have family over there for a visit. cfa1e77820
