After that, we see Matrix and his team of mercenaries infiltrating an island where drug lords hide. The first half of the film barely contains an action sequence and mostly consists of Matrix and his men battling drug traffickers and their henchmen who want to kill him. The film's final battle is just as long as those in "Commando" and "Commando 2". As expected from such a high-budget production, "Commando 2" is just as action-packed as its predecessors. However, the same template is repeated for this film as well, and as a result the fight scenes become repetitive and less emotionally engaging.
